INTRODUCTION: Today
you will go on a journey and join in meditations that describe the
passion of Jesus. You will accompany Him on the Way of the Cross and
also learn many new things about yourself and your faith.
PROCESS:
You will work with 4-6 students as you journey through the Stations of
the Cross. At the conclusion of the WebQuest, you will present a short
talk about how the Stations of the Cross have importance in your own
life.
Let's begin!
What are the origins of the Stations of the Cross?
View The Act of Contrition. Re-write it in your own words.
View each Station of the Cross. Discuss with your group members, what each event means to you.
Now
that you have discovered the events of Jesus's suffering, turn your
thoughts to your own heart, and think of ways you can enter into His
suffering on a day-to-day basis.
Go to Stations of the Cross - A Walk with Jesus Read the 'Look at your Heart' sections of each Station.
Download the Child's Guide to Lent. Read and discuss the Guide with your group members.
ASSESSMENT:
In a group of four to six students, use the Stations of the Cross Discussion Questions Worksheet, to prepare a short talk about:
1. What each Station means to you.
2. Ways each Stations encourages you to live your faith.
**Each member of your group needs to contribute to the talk. |
