  1. Understand that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead.
  2. Learn about the events leading up to Easter (Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday and Good Friday)
  3. Reflect on the importance of Jesus dying for our sins.

INTRODUCTION: Jesus is alive! This is good news. He rose from the dead and at Easter we remember His death and resurrection.

PROCEDURE:

Did you know Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a ? See the beginning of the Easter story at Palm Sunday.

On Holy Thursday, Jesus sat down with His disciples for a meal. See what happened at The Last Supper and more Last Supper stories.

After His last meal, Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gesthemane.

One of the disciples betrayed Him. Who was it? Who was it?

Jesus died on the Cross. Why did He have to die?
